Preparer's notes
Waikoloa Beach Marriot has plenty of activities for those who don't have a car or would rather stay at their resort. There is a kids pool with sand, a water slide, an adult pool, jacuzzi, spa, golfing, tennis, a beach close by and a restaraunt in the hotel. This is a great resort for a relaxing stay with excellent service.
Lisa's Comments
I stayed here twice, back when it was still an Outrigger. This is a quality hotel with a good windsurfing beach and beautiful grounds and lobby. There has been construction in the area for several years now, and I don't see it being done any time soon. It looks like they are doing expansion on one side, and building million-dollar homes on the other side. Anaehoomalu Bay is directly behind this hotel, and the King's shop is directly across the street from it. I prefer staying at the Hilton, which is right down the road, mostly because of all the stuff the hilton has for kids, but the hilton is about $70 more a night than this hotel. The only caveat I have for this hotel is the wind. Because of it's stellar beach location and view there is no protection from the occasional heavy winds, and on those days it is miserable to be out on the beach or at the pool.

A good review regarding this lodging is here: Absolutely loved it! Waikoloa Beach Marriott is located in Waikoloa Resort on the Big Island. The prices I checked shows it to be a medium-cost hotel.
