I checked the net for all the Aloha Beach reviews I could find. There were 25 reviews that were more than just a few words. I am basing this on 19 reviews for the hotel, and 6 ones against it.

19 people said they had a good time at the Aloha Beach, and the reasons they gave were:

6 people said they did not have a good time at the Aloha Beach, and the reasons they gave were:

1. 7 said: they felt the service was horrible and the front desk was unorganized and got their reservations wrong
2. 4 said: there was a musty smell on the furniture
3. 1 said: the bathroom was small
4. 2 said: the carpet and bathroom were dirty
5. 4 said: they saw bugs
6. 1 said: the roosters woke them up at 5am
7. 2 said: the shower water temperature often fluctuated from hot to cold

Aloha Beach Resort Hotel Is located in Kapaa, Kauai. It is generally regarded as a medium-cost hotel. What I think is the most succinct review I found is Great Location!

The Aloha Beach had very mixed reviews, some people said it was dingy, had horrible service, and that there were bugs; while others felt it was clean, loved the location, and thought the service was excellent. A few people complained about a musty smell and broken appliances but there were also some who didn't mind the musty smell because its quite common in a tropical area like Hawaii. I think its a matter of what you expect. Your not paying for a five star resort so don't expect one and also make sure you see your room before you agree to stay in it.
