Review of Pono Kai Resort Reviews

June 13th, 2005 -- I checked several major engines for phrases that related to the Pono Kai like "we stayed at the Pono Kai Resort". I found 25 real appraisals -- 17 people approved of the Pono Kai while 8 disapproved of the condo.

My thoughts
Part of this property is run by Marc resorts. I have found, people often complain they have has less-than-satisfactory service. Pono Kai is no exception. There was a varied review in which the subjects of maid service and air conditioning came up. The Marc owned units had maid service once every seven days and had either no air conditioning or ony one in the living room which made sleeping uncomfortable in the hotter seasons. Maid service seemed to be more frequent when the unit was not owned my Marc and air conditioning was not a problem in the other units. But despite the Marc units, the rest of the property was seen as very well kept and in a great location for tourist and family activities.

• 9 because the grounds were well kept and had a complimentary herb garden that the visitors could use

• 3 thought the ceiling was thin - one person said you could hear everytime their neighbors opened a closet or drawer
• 4 because the maid service was not frequent enough and in some cases only came once in a seven day period
• 3 people found there was no A/C in the bedroom which made it difficult to sleep at night
• 1 because the condo was much smaller than the one they saw pictured on the internet
• 1 said there are no night time activities - one couple was kicked out the the hot tub at 10pm
