Review of Hotel Hana Maui Reviews

summary
July 1st, 2005 -- I checked several major engines for phrases that related to the Hotel Hana like "we stayed at the Hotel Hana Maui". I found 25 real appraisals -- 24 people approved of the Hotel Hana while 1 disapproved of the small hotel.

Hotel Hana Maui Is located right in Hana on Maui. It is generally regarded as a higher priced small hotel. What I think is the most succinct review I found is Intriguing luxury!

good reviews
24 reviewers recommended the Hotel Hana:

  • 9 thought the view from the balcony was beautiful and right on the beach (some units)
  • 12 because the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about local history
  • 6 found there were many free amenities left in the rooms and given in the lobby including juice, bath salts, and fruit. There is also a hot tub in the units.
  • 5 liked it because the surroundings are truely peaceful and relaxing - you can "forget everything else in the world"
  • 5 because there are some relaxing activities on the property including massages, hula dancers and music, and horseback riding
  • 5 liked it because the units were very large with huge bathrooms, huge decks, and vaulted ceilings
  • 3 people said the restaraunt had good food and great service
  • 1 mentioned they recieved a free upgrade for their anniversary

bad reviews
1 reviewer did not recommend the Hotel Hana:

  • 3 thought there isn't much to do accept relax, there is no TV and no nightlife and if it rains your stuck in your room
  • 7 because the restaraunt menu is limited and fairly expensive
  • 3 people found the service was spotty - one womans lunch order was lost

Hana Maui is "rustic luxury in a beautiful unspoiled land" as one reviewer wrote. You are surounded with nature here and taken away from the modern conveniences of city life like phones, TV's, and Air conditioners. Most people welcomed this with open arms, vacations are for "getting away" right? But some became restless as there is not much else to do in this area, especially if it rains. Many didn't like the small selection on the restaraunt menu and suggest only staying for a short time. Most reviewers loved how pampered they felt and said it is a great place to stay if you want to truly relax. It is right in Hana, so it is a two hour drive to get anywhere on the island.
