Preparer's notes
The Maui Coast Hotel didn't have many great or horrible reviews, most people thoguht it was an "ok" place to stay if you are on a budget. Nothing spectacular here but nothing too dissapointing either. The free internet access in the lobby, free parking, and free public laundry room was a big plus for alot of people. While the high traffic area and the long drive to most major attractions was a bit much for others.

Of the people who liked the Maui Coast, 4 liked it because the view of the ocean, sunsets, and mountains were beautiful, 5 because the property is quiet and gave a "small town feel", 13 because the rooms were kept clean, 11 said they liked it because the staff was very friendly and accomodating, 11 stated the property is conveniently located near the airport, shopping centers, beaches, restaraunts, and movie theatres, 10 reviewers liked it because this property is a great value, 6 liked it because there are great on site activities like a pool, food bar, and nightly entertainment or dingers and dancers, 10 said they enjoyed amenities such as free public laundry room, free internet access in the lobby, free parking, jacuzzi in the bathrooms, and a large fridge, 5 reported the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and there was plenty of storage and closet space.

Of the people who didn't like the hotel, 5 didn't like it because the rooms were outdated and dirty with hair in the bathroom and stains on the carpet, 2 people thought there was early morning noise from their neighboring rooms and birds outside (the birds are loud and proud just before the crack of dawn and at sunset every day in Hawaii - everywhere), 5 because the on-site restaraunt was overpriced for the quality of food, 2 said the hotel is located on a high traffic street which you have to cross to get to the beach , 2 found the hotel is a good distance from Lahaina and most tourist attractions.
