Most Complete Review of Sheraton Maui Resort

July 4th, 2005 -- I searched three major search engines for several Sheraton Maui related terms including "review Sheraton Maui", and "stayed Sheraton Maui.

I found 25 useable reviews -- 22 positive ones, and 3 negative ones.

The Sheraton Maui had mostly great reviews, many people were upgraded upon arrival from garden view to ocean view. The location is perfect for seeing the sites in Kaanapali Beach. The resort is right on Black Rock and a short walk from Whaler Village. One thing people warned about is that if you are NOT upgraded you may not like the room you get, as some were small and dirty.

Of the people who liked the Sheraton Maui, 8 liked it because they were upgraded for free upon arrival, 2 because the rooms were kept clean, 10 because the staff was friendly, polite, and attentive, 11 said they liked it because there were many great activities provided by the resort including a pool with a special area for kids, a gym, hula show, beach, golf, hot tub, snorkeling, and massages on the beach, 3 stated the grounds were immaculately clean and beautifully designed with ponds and palm trees, 7 reviewers liked it because the view was spectacular looking out over Black Rock to see turtles and torch lighters at night, 8 liked it because the food at the restaraunt was great and kids eat free for breakfast, 14 said the resort is located on Black Rock and just a short walk to Whaler Village, 5 reported the units were nice and quiet despite the busy resort, 1 wrote they loved the poolside bar and service, 1 wrote the self parking is free.

Of the people who didn't like the hotel, 5 didn't like it because the service was bad, unorganized, and not helpful, 3 people thought the rooms were small, 3 because the rooms were dirty with mold on the tiles, wallpaper peeling, and stains on the carpet, 1 said the walls were thin, 1 found there is limited free parking.
