Whaler related terms including "review Whaler Kaanapali", and "stayed Whaler.
I found 25 useable reviews -- 22 positive ones, and 3 negative ones.

Almost every guest of the Whaler thought the location was great but there were very mixed reviews on the staff and service. Some people said the rooms and amenities they paid for were not available on arrival and no compensation was given, while others thoguht the staff was rather helpful all around. Another common complaint was that the parking lot was often full.

the location was close to Black Rock, Whaler Village, shopping, and grocery stores,

The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach Is located in Kaanapali beach Maui. It is generally regarded as a moderate-price condominium hotel. What I think is the most succinct review I found is The Whaler seems more for singles than families
