Review of Castle Waikiki Hotel Reviews

June 24th, 2005 -- I checked several major engines for phrases that related to the Castle Shore like "we stayed at the Castle Waikiki Shore Hotel". I found 17 real appraisals -- 14 people approved of the Castle Shore while 3 disapproved of the hotel.

My thoughts
Most reviews had pleasant things to say about the Castle Waikiki including the beautiful views, convenient amenities, and spacious rooms. A few things to be aware of, however, are the rocky beach, and street noise at night. This is a condo with a hotel location but a washer and dryer and kitchen in every room.

good reviews
14 reviewers recommended the Castle Shore:

• 7 thought the location of the hotel was great for shopping, going to the beach and catching the bus to many tourist locations
• 5 because the staff was very informative, and helpful with luggage
• 19 found the view of the mountains, the beach, and the park next door was beautiful
• 2 liked it because they liked how close the beach was
• 4 because the hotel was a great value
• 9 liked it because the amenities were convenient and included a full kitchen, washer and dryer (in the room!), and garbage disposal
• 2 people said the restaraunt was good and reasonably priced
• 9 mentioned the hotel and rooms were clean and the maid service was efficient
• 6 said the rooms were spacious with huge kitchens and plenty of closet space

bad reviews
3 reviewers did not recommend the Castle:

• 2 thought the rooms were small
• 3 because the maid service was undependable and often forgot to leave clean towels and other amenities (psst, this is a condo where there usually is NO maid service)
• 5 people found the noise from the street and neighboring hotels was loud at night
• 6 because the beach was rocky
